The ILCT provides training for those such as counselors and psychotherapists who are developing their specific coaching skills..

International Coach Federation (ICF)

The ICF is the major international organization for coaches. It offers accreditation and a code of ethics.

Association for Humanistic Psychology (AHP)

The AHP is a North American association with an international membership focussed on the theories and practice of humanistic psychology.

American Counseling Association (ACA)

The ACA is the predominant counseling body in the United States. It offers a code of ethics and a range of affiliations to specialty groups.

International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC)

The IAMFC is the leading international body concerned with relationships in families and in marriage partnerships.

International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP)

The IAEDP is a major association for the education, training and certification of those who work in this field.

United Kingdom Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners (UKAHPP)

The UKAHPP is the world's only independent accrediting body for practitioners who use the theories of Humanistic Psychology in their work.

United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UKCP is the leading umbrella organization for psychotherapists in the United Kingdom. It operates a register of accredited practitioners and acts as a central coordinator for such matters as codes of practice, complaints handling and ethics.

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

The BACP is the United Kingdom equivalent of the ACA. It accredits members and operates a complaints procedure and code of ethics.

United Kingdom Register of Counsellors (UKRC)

The UKRC is a register of accredited counselors operated by the BACP.
